Caroline, a Licensed Traditional Chinese Acupuncturist and Sports Therapist, first became interested in Acupuncture following the successful treatment she received for headaches. This inspired Caroline to study Acupuncture and use its immense benefits to help promote the health and wellbeing of others. Caroline graduated from the Acupuncture Foundation of Ireland where she studied Traditional Chinese Acupuncture under such prominent Chinese doctors as Professor Jin Hui De, Dr Jidong Wu and Dr Meng Fanyi. After graduating, she completed her postgraduate in China where she gained clinical experience under Master Practitioner Dr. Ou Yang Gang at the Jiangsu Province Hospital in Nanjing, China and was awarded her Licentiate.
Caroline specialises in both Male and Female Fertility issues, IUI & IVF Support/Preparation, Pregnancy care and Gynaecological disorders such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), Endometriosis, Pre-Menstrual Syndrome (PMS), Menstrual Irregularities and Menopausal problems. She also provides postnatal treatment for conditions such as post natal depression. Other conditions treated by Caroline include Stress/Anxiety, Headaches & Migraines, Insomnia, Digestive disorders (IBS), pain management, sports injuries and more. She also uses a number of different forms of Traditional Chinese Medicine such as Electro-acupuncture, Auricular Acupuncture, Cupping and Heat Therapy.
In the treatment of fertility and IVF issues, Caroline is very sensitive to the needs of her clients and provides support for them in a relaxed and sympathetic manner. Caroline has had a large number of successes in this area. Caroline’s background as a Sports Therapist also means that she has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of Sports Injuries, Musculoskeletal disorders, Chronic Back Pain, Disc Herniation’s and Sciatica. As a member of the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association (AFPA) Caroline is bound by a strict code of ethics and best practice.
